About the Event

Join us at YEM Home for our special Halloween Jazz Age Murder Mystery with Chef Julius Walter, a talented professional chef with over 14 years of experience at high-end catering companies and fine-dining restaurants like Providence, Nobu, and Wolfgang Puck.

It will NOT be a sit-down dinner as we would like guests to mingle and participate in the murder mystery. The food will be the same quality and quantity as a sit-down dinner would. We will start at 5 PM sharp for drinks and for the game to begin. Food will be served at 6PM. 

Encouraged but not required: Come dressed as someone from the 1920's would and we will explain the game rules to you. 

If you do not choose the wine/beverage pairing option, please BYOB.

Because of the amount of advanced prep that goes into this, there is no refund on cancelations within 3 days of the event. Please email linh@yemhome.com as soon as you RSVP if you would like to opt for the vegan option. Otherwise, we assume you choose the normal menu.

vegan butternut squash stuffed with bread stuffing, vegan brown gravy

braised chicken thighs in rose wine served with pumpkin puree, roasted veggies

mini pumpkin bite-size pumpkin pie

mini classic apple pie

redwine poached apple and pear served with cinnamon whipped cream

Special note regarding Covid-19:

We cap dinner at 8-10 people max to allow for proper space between diners. We will also be checking all guests' temperature at the door using a no-touch thermometer. Please be responsible and respectful of others (for example, leaving the table when you need to cough or sneezing into your elbow). Sanitize and/or wash your hands before you come in, and throughout the evening. Try not to touch or stand/sit too close to each other. Try not to share food and utensils. If you want to wear a mask or keep more distance, please do so. If you feel uncomfortable, just let us know.

By RSVP-ing, you pledge that you are not showing any symptoms for Covid-19 and have not been around anyone who has recently tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 2 weeks. By attending this dinner, you take full responsibility for your health and the health of this community. You will notify the hosts if you have any symptoms within 2 weeks of this gathering. You release the hosts from any liability associated with this event and will take precautionary measures on your own.
